Charcoal cones are cleaner burning than wooden cones and give a truer scent profile when burned. Charcoal cones also create less smoke than wooden punk cones.  Charcoal cones produce the most delicate fragrances by releasing only the essence of each perfect scent. The fragrance is generally cleaner and truer, since the charcoal has already been burned once.
