Common Uses: Jojoba Oil is golden in color and comes from the beans of a shrub like plant, and it is actually a liquid plant wax. Jojoba oil is an actual wax that resembles the natural sebum (oil) of our own skin and is rich in vitamin E. Jojoba oil is excellent for every skin type, even oily skin as it is noncomedogenic, meaning it doesn’t clog pores. Jojoba oil is rich in iodine, which fights harmful bacteria growth that leads to breakouts. The antioxidants present in jojoba oil soothe fine lines, wrinkles and naturally slow down other signs of aging. Because Jojoba is not an oil but rather a wax, its shelf life and stability is considerably higher then most oils and rancidity is very rarely a concern.
